We've partnered with Discover Roxbury to offer Wonder Women of Boston members some summertime fun, a group bike ride!
oin us for an after work bike ride on July 18 through one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods that's home to some of the region's most exciting stories.

No bike? No problem. There are Hubway stations nearby at Roxbury Crossing and Dudley Square. Plus, our friends at Urban Adventours are offering a
discounted rental, pick up around 5pm on July 18th and return between 9am-12pm on July 19th for just $20 (Includes a lock and helmet if needed). Additionally, Ferris Wheels another local bike shops rent bikes by the hour, day, and week.

The Radical Roxbury route will begin at Roxbury Crossing with the relatively well-known protests against the construction of I-95 along the Southwest Corridor. From there our attention will focus on mid-20th century revolutionary leaders Martin Luther King, Jr and Malcolm X. After passing the former locations of the Black Panthers and SNCC, we’ll end with an overview of the 1967 and 1968 riots in Grove Hall and the police staging grounds in Franklin Park.

    Route difficulty: Easy

A portion of the proceeds from this event benefits Discover Roxbury.
Discover Roxbury seeks to overcome racial and class stereotypes of Roxbury and the lack of knowledge about the community. They also advocate for the preservation of Roxbury’s historic and cultural assets.
